What lights us up

Idaho's wild places and the people who show up for each other.

We're building events with the kind of care you feel the second you arrive, and a community that makes you want to stay. That's what gets us fired up.

About Us

Em

Emily has spent 30+ years fixing athletes who occasionally make questionable decisions... and then encouraging them to go have more adventures anyway.

Over the past three decades, she's worked with professional soccer players, professional cyclists, elite triathletes, circus performers (don't ask... actually, do ask), and world-class endurance athletes. She's also passionate about giving back to the endurance community through coaching, education, and local outreach. But ask her who her favorite athletes are, and she'll probably tell you they're the ones simply trying to get outside, stay healthy, and have more fun doing what they love.

Off the clock, you'll usually find her coaching mountain bike clinics, fitting bikes, chasing singletrack, casting a fly rod, or planning her next adventure. Emily is a mountain biker through and through, loves a good road ride, and has climbed some of the Pacific Northwest's most iconic peaks.

Em also has a serious case of wanderlust and will happily talk your ear off about Nepal—which she absolutely loves. Everest? Nope. She's not a dummy.

Originally from Ohio, with stops in Wisconsin,  New Hampshire and Portland before finding home in Boise, Emily is one of the reasons Idaho Endurance Collective exists: because community, adventure, and getting outside should be for everyone.

Steph

Steph has absolutely zero interest in diagnosing your knee pain... but she'll enthusiastically encourage you to sign up for the adventure that's probably causing it.

Instead, she's the one dreaming up big ideas, building community, planning adventures, and occasionally convincing people to do things they had absolutely no interest in doing.

A runner at heart, Steph became a cyclist after chasing a cute boy - and the rest is history (sans said cute boy). These days she's just as happy grinding out a long ride, tackling an all-day trail adventure, bagging a peak, or signing up for endurance events that seemed like a much better idea a few months earlier.

Originally from LA (Go Dodgers!), Steph eventually traded traffic for trails and now happily calls Boise home. She's a passionate traveler, has an impressive inability to sit still, and firmly believes the best days end with sore legs.

After surviving breast cancer in her early 30s, Steph developed a simple philosophy: life is way too short to save adventures for "someday." If there's  a ridiculous idea that sounds just hard enough to be memorable, she's probably already packing snacks (and, let’s face it… wine).

Also, while Emily has Riley... Steph would like everyone to know that Tate William is, objectively, the greatest dog to ever exist - and she spends approximately 99.999% of her time making sure he knows it.
